Piercing

All three studios carry out piercings between 9.30am to 5.30pm, no appointment necessary. We have experienced piercing technicians in all three studios at all times, there isn’t a piercing we haven’t done! Please call us, use our contact form, or Facebook for any further information.

Techniques

All our studios are fully insured and Health authority registered. All our piercing needles are individually sterile packaged for one use only. Each of our clamps are cleaned by ultra sonic and then autoclaved twice before being individually sterile packaged ready for use. Our cleaning equipment is serviced annually and all our staff are first aid, as well as infection prevention and control trained.

Thinking of getting a piercing?

If you are reading this page you are the type of person that does their homework and doesn’t just rush to action!! There are several things to consider before you take the plunge:

1. Studio

Choose a studio that has been established for sometime. Never EVER have a piercing done at someone’s home. All Piercing studios should be licenced by the local council authority and carefully governed – There are good reasons for this – ask to see the credentials if in doubt.

2. The experience of the technician

There are no regulated training schools for piercing. A good piercer is an experienced one that has learnt the trade through apprenticeship – honest trial and error !

3. Jewellery

Once the piercing has been carried out the second most important point is the quality of the jewellery inserted into the skin. It should be medical grade Titanium or surgical steel. Many items purchased cheaply are imported, and cheaply coated. This coat corrodes quickly in the skin, causing infection. The key here is you should get what you pay for – If it sounds cheap … It is !

4. Trust your instinct

Piercing is now a long established business. A good studio should be well known, clean, informative, and friendly with a large selection for your choice. If you don’t get a good feel for the place, go somewhere else. There are plenty out there to choose from.

You don’t need to book an appointment in any of our studios. Feel free to come in and discuss your piercing with any of our experienced staff and browse through their piercing portfolios. Anybody under the age of 17, or 16 for Lobe and Standard Helix, will need to have parental consent for a piercing. We will ask to see ID if we are in any doubt of age. We will also refuse piercing if we cannot establish validity of age.
